We have a 4 year old male, high-energy retrieving machine. He is well-behaved in the house - has manners but needs some obedience to reinforce "come". He requires daily exercise and sufficient space to run. A city home would not work. A fenced area for times he is not supervised is required.
He does not get along with other male dogs. An experienced owner who can provide kind and consistent training would be ideal.
With a little work, he would make a great hunting companion. He is up to date on vaccines and heartworm preventative.
